Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke reacts to Eberechi Eze as Crystal Palace exit looms

Eberechi Eze has taken to social media with a new message as rumours continue to swirl around the playmaker’s future at Crystal Palace.

The 27-year-old is currently one of the most exciting players in the Premier League, having notched 14 goals and 12 assists across all competitions last season, attracting a lot of attention from rival clubs.

Having previously been linked with Tottenham, Football Insider now understands that Eze wants to join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, with a significant fee expected up front and the rest paid in instalments.

While the Gunners have Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard all available, with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus returning from injury, the fans are calling out for reinforcements.

Supporters are also desperate for a star centre-forward to be added to the squad, which explains the strong links to Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres, but Eze would be a step in the right direction.

Eberechi Eze linked with Crystal Palace exit

Taking to Instagram (17 July), Eze shared a post in partnership with New Balance, captioned: “740,” with a ninja emoji, which caught the attention of Everton’s Dwight McNeil and Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke.

The former QPR talent has made 167 appearances for the Eagles since 2020, notching 40 goals and 29 assists in that time, and rightly, attracting interest from Premier League giants.

Oliver Glasner braced for exits at Selhurst Park

Football Insider verdict

Oliver Glasner has achieved the impossible at Selhurst Park, leading the Eagles to their first major trophy via the FA Cup, beating Pep Guardiola‘s Man City at Wembley Stadium last season.

Despite that, the Austrian could end up losing multiple of his biggest stars over the coming weeks, with Eze not being the only player linked with an exit from South London.

Deals have been done for Borna Sosa and Walter Benitez, though Football Insider understands that Liverpool are likely to sign Marc Guehi, with Ousmane Diomande coming to the Premier League.

Liverpool are also interested in Jean-Philippe Mateta, who scored 17 goals in 46 appearances last season, and losing the Frenchman would be a huge blow ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Adam Wharton, Daniel Munoz, and Tyrick Mitchell have also been linked with exits, and while Glasner is likely to hold onto the majority of his players, he could lose one or two major stars.

The saga surrounding Eze is likely to continue until the end of the summer transfer window, which is only bad news for the Eagles, but it will be difficult for the player to turn down a move over the coming weeks.
