Leeds United have confirmed the appointment of Paul Heckingbottom as the new head coach at Elland Road and it would seem that supporters from his former side Barnsley are not too happy with the move.
The Whites announced the news on their official Twitter feed and website of the Barnsley native’s arrival at the club with a contract that will run until the summer of 2019.

It only emerged on Sunday night by Football Insider ourselves that Thomas Christiansen was set for the axe and we also revealed that it would be Paul Heckingbottom who would be taking over from the Dane.
Supporters from his now former club are fuming on social media with his decision to quit in favour of the Yorkshire giants with some fans questioning his loyalties by calling him a ‘traitor,’ while others felt that money was the reasoning behind his exit from Oakwell.
Heckingbottom enjoyed a successful time at Barnsley throughout his tenure, winning the Football League Trophy, taking the Reds to the Championship with a play off victory at Wembley, and guiding the side to a 14th place finish in his first season back in the league.
However, the Oakwell faithful were quick to point out that form this campaign has been poor and highlighted their one win in 16 games statistic as if to give the Whites cause for concern.
Here is a selection of reactions to the news on Twitter:
