Traore facing bleak future at Aston Villa after latest news - Agbonlahor
Gabby Agbonlahor has admitted it is “hard to see” where Bertrand Traore fits in Aston Villa.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer insisted Traore only needs one good substitute performance to change his fortunes.
The winger, who arrived at Villa Park for a reported £17million last summer, is yet to start a Premier League game this season.
Birmingham Live’s Ashley Preece reported yesterday (October 11) has missed two Burkina Faso games with a thigh injury.
And Agbonlahor has warned he could be a victim of Dean Smith’s new 3-5-2 formation.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “With this formation, it’s difficult to see where Traore will play.

“We’ve got Leon Bailey as well, you’ve got Emi Buendia who’s not starting, you’ve got Anwar El Ghazi too. It’s hard to see where he fits in.
“But football can change. One good substitute appearance where you get a goal, before you know it you can be starting.
“If you look at Aston Villa there’s going to be a big fight for places and it’s going to come down to who wants it the most, who’s going to work the most in training.
“I’m sure when he’s back in training Traore will be looking to get back into the side because last season I thought he did very well.”
Traore scored seven times and provided seven assists in 36 Premier League games last term, including 29 starts.
He is under contract at Villa Park until the summer of 2024.
