Trent Alexander-Arnold U-turn: ‘It’s done – everyone at Liverpool knows it’
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been subject to intense speculation surrounding his future at Liverpool since the season began.
A move to Real Madrid at the end of the season has been widely expected for months, but neither party have confirmed the deal, leading to doubts.
Following his goalscoring display against Leicester, and amid speculation about Carlo Ancelotti’s future, many suggested the 26-year-old could be set to change his mind.
Industry insider Mick Brown told Football Insider that Alexander-Arnold may be having second thoughts about leaving Liverpool.
However, former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has rubbished those claims as he told Football Insider that his move to Madrid is “done” and “everyone at Liverpool knows it”.

Trent Alexander-Arnold closes in on Liverpool exit
Football Insider revealed on 21 April that the Liverpool star will announce his Real Madrid move soon despite having publicly kept his cards close to his chest.
Sources say Madrid are confident they have agreed the deal for him to sign on a free transfer and link up with England teammate Jude Bellingham at the Bernabeu.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Robinson explained that the deal has been agreed since January and there is now no way back for Alexander-Arnold or Liverpool regardless of speculation.
“No, there’s no chance,” he told Football Insider.
“It’s kite-flying journalism, there’s absolutely no chance.
“We heard Mo Salah was going to sign, that came out, then we heard that Virgil van Dijk was going to sign, and that came out.
“With Trent, there’s not been a dicky bird.
“He’s gone, it’s done, and I told you that in January.
“He’d upset a lot of people in Madrid if that was the case, there have been handshakes and agreements in place, it would be one of the biggest U-turns I’ve ever seen.
“There’s no way Trent is coming back, that ship has sailed and everyone at Liverpool knows it.”

Harvey Elliott update emerges after Anfield exit talk
Another player who has been heavily linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer is Harvey Elliott, who has struggled for minutes under Arne Slot.
Football Insider revealed on 25 April that Elliott’s priority is to remain at Liverpool, but he has grown frustrated by his lack of first-team opportunities.
The England Under-21 international, who is yet to receive his first senior call-up, is under contract at Anfield until June 2027.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 21 April that Liverpool will not look to sell Elliott this summer despite interest from Brighton and Borussia Dortmund.
