Paddy Riley was the current head of recruitment, but he was heavily criticised for his involvement in the club’s woeful summer signings for the 2015-16 Premier League season which led to their relegation.
The Midlands club had a busy transfer window bringing in nine additions to the club including Ross McCormack, Jonathan Kodjia, James Chester, Aaron Tshibola, Pierluigi Gollini, Mile Jedinak, Tommy Elphick, Ritchie De Laet and Albert Adomah.
