Two Man United stars could be frozen out after Sky update on Antony swoop – pundit
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Elanga could find themselves on the sidelines if Man United sign Ajax winger Antony this summer.
That is the view of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Red Devils’ interest in Antony, 22.
According to Sky Sports (14 June), United have made initial enquiries for the Brazil international.

Antony was a regular starter under Erik ten Hag at Ajax and impressed massively in the 2021-22 campaign in which he contributed 12 goals and 10 assists.
The winger would not come cheap though as he has three years remaining on his contract in Amsterdam.
When asked by Football Insider if Antony would be an upgrade on Man United’s current right-wing options, Campbell said: “I don’t know if he is an upgrade but he is somebody that Erik ten Hag knows.
“I have worked on a couple of Ajax games this season and I have been impressed with him, I have to say. He has skills. He is very good on the ball and will be a crowd pleaser.

“The manager feels Antony is his guy. Rashford and Elanga are not his guys so let’s see what the manager wants to do with them.
“Antony is a player he clearly rates though. He knows exactly what he will get from him. That is the appeal of signing a former player of yours.”
