Tyler Dibling reacts after emotional Southampton exit announcement
Tyler Dibling has reacted after Southampton issued an emotional statement following the departure of a fan-favourite.
Southampton’s 2024/25 campaign could not have gone much worse, as they returned to the Championship at the first time of asking without much of a fight put up to stay in the Premier League.
Young winger Dibling was a shining light in their dismal campaign, as he broke through to register four goals and three assists in 38 games in his first full season as a Saints regular.
Football Insider revealed before the January window that Southampton were considering offers between £20-30million for Dibling amid interest from Newcastle United.
He continued to shine in the second-half of the campaign, despite their overall woes, and Football Insider revealed earlier this month that Liverpool, Man City, Man United and Spurs are all interested in signing the young Saints star this summer.

Dibling reacts as Southampton announce Kyle Walker-Peters’ exit
Southampton are set to be raided following their relegation, and Dibling is not the only wanted man, with Football Insider recently revealing that both Everton and West Ham are interested in signing Kyle Walker-Peters this summer as he nears the end of his St Mary’s contract.
Walker-Peters’ Saints deal expires in a matter of days, and the club have now moved to officially confirm his and goalkeeper Joe Lumley’s respective exits with a heartfelt Instagram message, saying: “Thank you and farewell to Kyle Walker-Peters and Joe Lumley, who will depart the club at the end of their contracts” alongside a heart emoji.
Dibling was among the Southampton players who reacted to their message with a like on the post, while Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Joe Aribo, Armel Bella-Kotchap and Alex McCarthy also followed suit.
Walker-Peters set to remain in Premier League after Saints exit
Football Insider verdict
Walker-Peters has been a loyal servant to Southampton since he first joined the club on loan from Tottenham in January 2020, with over 190 appearances in red and white in the five years that have followed.
He chose to remain with the Saints when they were last relegated to the second-tier, but this time around he is understandably moving on, with his pedigree and talent set to be enough to earn him another top-flight move.
Walker-Peters looks unlikely to join Everton now that they are closing in on a move for Fulham man Kenny Tete, but a move back to Spurs could happen.

Former scout Mick Brown has told Football Insider that Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is working on a deal to sign Walker-Peters as he leaves Southampton, and that would surely be a dream move from his point of view.
The 28-year-old would be a solid rotation option for the North London side as they return to the Champions League, and he could even force his way back into the England reckoning with some strong performances.
