‘Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong updates emerge in busy Chelsea transfer window’
Chelsea duo Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong look to be facing differing outcomes from the summer transfer window after breakout campaigns.
The teenage duo both had enjoyed major advances last term at Stamford Bridge, becoming regular features around Enzo Maresca‘s senior side.
Acheampong signed a long-term contract with Chelsea in the winter following concerns about his future with the club, which helped bring him back into the first-team picture.
Meanwhile, George produced some eye-catching performances for Maresca’s team, which included scoring his first senior goals in the process.
Now, an update has been issued about whether the young duo will still be at the club for the 2025/26 campaign as major moves are made in the transfer window.

Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong loan updates emerge
Having shown their potential this season, the two 19-year-olds may now have their eyes on regular first-team football next season.
But with a busy summer ahead for the Blues, with Liam Delap set to become the first new signing for Chelsea, there may be questions about whether the duo may need loan moves to do that.
According to a new update from The Mail, the club have yet to set out a concrete plan for Acheampong in the summer transfer window but there is reportedly interest in a loan move for the young right-back from elsewhere this summer, should he become available.
George though is apparently expected to remain with Chelsea for the 2025/26 campaign as things stand after his breakthrough under Maresca.

Chelsea plans must give youngsters a chance
There have been suggestions that Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo are among the only “untouchable” players in the Chelsea senior squad this summer.
As a result, there is a good chance there will be plenty of incomings and outgoings at Stamford Bridge in the next few months.
That means the make-up of the squad available to Maresca could look rather different at the end of the window to how it does now.
With that in mind, Chelsea must make sure the pathways are not blocked for the likes of George and Acheampong, when it is clear first-team football next season will serve their development well.
So if it becomes clear over the course of the window that there will be more established players available to Maresca in their positions, loan moves elsewhere would surely make sense.
Indeed, with the quality the pair have shown in recent months, you can be sure neither player would be short of interest if they become available.
But even a temporary move away is no guarantee of continuing to develop when this time last year Alfie Gilchrist was the latest off the production line, but looks set to leave Chelsea this summer after a year on loan at Sheffield United.
