‘Unbelievable’ Man City claim issued by pundit after journalist’s Bernardo Silva exit update
Barcelona would need to present “a big bid” to Man City to sign Bernardo Silva this summer.
That is the view of former Spurs and England number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the La Liga side’s interest in the “unbelievable” 27-year-old.
According to The Athletic‘s Pol Ballus (25 June), the midfielder’s agent Jorge Mendes mentioned his client as a player interested in moving to the Nou Camp in a dinner with senior club figures earlier this month.

Bernardo is said to want to move to Spain.
The Portugal international has three years remaining on his contract at the Etihad.
Robinson does not believe Barcelona have the money required to fund the signing.
“Bernardo Silva was unbelievable in the first half of last season,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“It would have to be a big bid to get him out of Man City. We have heard what Pep Guardiola thinks about him.
“It is not a deal that Barcelona are going to find easy to get away. Barcelona are no longer a financial superpower.
“Of course, they still have that pulling power though because they are one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

“The finances are a problem though. If they go knocking at City’s door, the deal would have to be right.
“It would be very difficult for them to pull it off even though they have the lure of being Barcelona.”
