Victor Orta makes Leeds move for La Liga scout - report
By Derek Smithson
Leeds are set to bring in scout Dani Salas from La Liga club Sevilla, according to a report.
Spanish publication Estadio Deportivo claim that Salas is expected to complete a move to Elland Road this summer to link up with Leeds’ director of football Victor Orta.
It is understood that Salas has been highly successful in identifying talents in Portugal and South America in the past, something that Championship club Leeds will be hoping he can repeat.
Whites owner Andrea Radrizzani is undergoing a huge overhaul at the club and has already recruited Orta following his departure from Middlesbrough, plus compatriot Ivan Bravo in a direct role.
Orta previously worked at Sevilla during the earlier stages of his career as part of their technical and recruitment staff.

The Spaniard ended up in England with Middlesbrough and played an important role in them getting promotion from the Championship, identifying several transfer targets at the Riverside.
Leeds’ summer shake-up is gathering pace now and scouts Salas would be the latest Spaniard to join the club.
However, they are still on the search for a new manager following Garry Monk’s resignation and it’s unclear who will be at the helm next season.
In other Leeds transfer news, the club’s supporters reacted on Twitter to Hadi Sacko’s confirmed arrival.
