'Vile', 'Shocking', 'Joke' - Rangers fans rage over 26-yr-old display in win v Kilmarnock

Rangers fans have reacted with fury to Andy Halliday’s performance for the Gers against Kilmarnock, in a game which ended 1-0 to the Gers.

Halliday kept his place in the Gers side even though he was poor in last weeks’ 5-0 loss to Celtic, but caretaker boss Jimmy Nicholl kept his faith in the player.

However, despite putting in a few decent crosses, the 26-year-old didn’t have the best game against the Rugby Park side, with supporter claiming that his performance was ‘a joke’.

Here are some of the best reactions to Halliday’s performance from Twitter:

Halliday has had a rather bizarre season even by Ibrox standards, as he spent the first-half of the season on loan at Azerbaijan side Gabala, after a fall-out with then Gers boss Pedro Caixinha, but was recalled in January by Graeme Murty.

He has been in and out of the team since then, but his season reached a nadir when he was subbed in the first-half of the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic, and was spotted shouting when he was taken off.

It remains to be seen how he fares when Steven Gerrard takes over, as no doubt everyone will start with a clean slate, but it looks like if we wants to re-establish himself in the first-team he will have to up his performances considerably.
