The former Cheltenham Town player moved to Cirencester and then Gloucester in the summer on a free transfer.

He made 41 appearances for Cheltenham, including 35 games in League Two, scoring two goals.

Since his move to Gloucester he has been converted to a striker where he’s earned man of the match performances, scoring six goals and providing seven assists in 13 games.

According to HITC sources, his performances have put him on Aston Villa’s radar, but they face competition from Championship and Midlands rivals Birmingham and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It is reported that the player is being monitored and could make a return to league football, with Brighton also interested after taking the player on a trial last summer.

In other Aston Villa transfer news, fans have reacted with dismay to the news that Joey Barton could join the club.
