‘Vinai Venkatesham will have fright of his life looking at these Tottenham figures’
Tottenham Hotspur chief executive Vinai Venkatesham will be watching on nervously to see if the north London club can remain in the Premier League.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who can see Spurs getting relegated.
Igor Tudor’s side sit just one point above the drop zone, and the interim manager has yet to take a point from any of his first three Premier League games in charge.
Spurs face a trip to Liverpool next with the pressure increasing on Tudor, as the club could be relegated from the Premier League for the very first time.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes all the sides in the relegation fight have got “big games” coming up.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness states that the odds for Spurs going down are shortening by the week.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I’m afraid I can see Spurs dropping. It’s going to be a real fight to the death.
“I’ve looked at all the fixture lists of those three clubs. They’ve all got pretty tough run-ins. The last game of the season is Everton away at Spurs and that could potentially be Everton playing for a European spot and Spurs to stay up in the Premier League.
“So there’s some really big games coming up in the next few weeks, really big games and some of those teams will be playing each other as well. So a lot to play for.
“And as I say, those bookies’ odds are very close, and I wouldn’t like to be the CEO of Spurs at the moment looking at those sorts of odds closing as they have done just in the last couple of weeks.”

Tottenham explore new backroom hire
Wyness told Football Insider that two names are being considered by Spurs to replace Johan Lange as the club’s sporting director.
Dougie Freedman and Thiago Pinto are the candidates as Lange’s job is coming under increasing scrutiny due to the club’s performance on the pitch.
Lange joined Spurs from Aston Villa in 2023, and was heavily involved in Tudor’s appointment as interim boss in February.
