Vinnie Jones hits back at Hughton comments after Leeds win against Brighton
By Amir Mir
Vinnie Jones has hit back at Chris Hughton’s comments after Leeds secured a 2-0 win against Brighton on Saturday evening.
After the match, Hughton claimed that a draw would have been a “fair result” but Jones stated that football isn’t “fair” when the Whites play with “flair”.
The Seagulls were slow to get off the mark during the game with attacking duo Glenn Murray and Anthony Knockaert particularly quiet.
After the break, striker Chris Wood, who is leading the scoring charts in the Championship, showed the away team how to be clinical by netting a brace.
Former Premier League midfielder Jones was pleased with the Whites performance, but he clearly wasn’t happy with Hughton’s comments.
“Football isn’t fair when Leeds play with flair,” Jones wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Garry Monk has done a superb job since joining the Yorkshire club last summer turning the club into promotion hopefuls this season.
Leeds have gone through a number of managers in the past 13 years as they have failed to guide the club back to the Premier League.
However, since their relegation from the top tier during the 2003/04 campaign, the Elland Road club are now within touching distance of possible promotion.
Eight matches remain in the Championship this term and with Monk’s side nine points ahead of seventh-placed Fulham with a top six finish now looking very likely.
Furthermore, the Whites are also still in the running to finish in the automatic places – eight points behind second-placed Brighton is proof of that.
In other Leeds news, Micky Gray has hailed this absolutely fantastic player for the Whites during their win against Brighton.
