Wenham: Kane will ‘explode’ for Tottenham v West Ham after what I’ve seen

Harry Kane’s season will “explode into life” when Tottenham play West Ham next weekend.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Kane, 28, bagged his first Premier League goal of the season as Tottenham beat Newcastle 3-2 on Sunday.

The striker has scored in the EFL Cup and UEFA Conference League but it took seven attempts to register a goal in the league.

After breaking his duck in the league, Wenham expects Kane to add to his tally against West Ham as he “loves” games against London rivals.

“He scored a very important goal yesterday,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He silenced a very energetic crowd and turned the direction of the game back towards Tottenham.

“Again, he did so well to stay onside and he got his due rewards, what a finish.

“People have been having a go at him but that’s his tenth goal this season for club and country.

“He played very well generally and we have missed his presence in the attack.

“Kane was offering a lot to his teammates and the work he put in for the third goal was brilliant.

“Now he has his Premier League goal, I expect him to build on that.

He loves a London derby so it wouldn’t surprise me if he scored a few against West Ham.

“His confidence will be sky high now. I’m sure his season will explode into life.”

In other news, Spurs fans have been urged to get off one player’s back after he was hit with ‘another blow’.
