'100% yes', 'No more passengers' - West Ham fans in two minds about move for PL dazzler

West Ham United have been linked with a move for Stoke City attacker Xherdan Shaqiri with the Potters looking likely to be relegated from the Premier League this season.

The claim has been made according to a report in Football.London and supporters cannot make up their minds up about the links to the seven-goal forward.

Despite an otherwise shocking campaign for the club, Shaquiri has been something of a bright note with seven goals and six assists in 32 league games.

But his good form has not been enough to see the club clear of the relegation zone and at the point of writing they sit five points adrift.

Nonetheless, that hasn’t stopped the Hammers from showing an interest in the attacker who also has six assists on top of his seven goals.

While there were many fans who welcomed the potential transfer, there were others who chose to comment on the 26-year-old’s weight, with suggestions that the Swiss international could do with losing a few lbs.

Shaqiri is under contract at the Brittania until 2020 but they may choose to sell this summer to avoid the risk of losing him for much less next summer if they do not instantly return to the top-flight.

Here is a selection of Twitter responses from supporters of the club reacting to the news:
