David Moyes has announced his starting XI for Thursday night’s Premier League game at home to Man United – and it’s unchanged, leading to groans from fans who thought he might try something a bit more adventurous tonight.
West Ham are safe from the drop with two games to go ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off and fans were hoping for a performance that kicks away much of the negativity that’s come before.
They’ll have to do it with the same team as at the weekend though.
It’s not entirely a dead rubber – Man United need one point from their remaining two games to secure second place in the table – only Spurs can now overhaul them on goal difference.
The team news was announced on the official West Ham Twitter page on Thursday evening:

I guess you can’t argue with not changigns winning team – but I’d have liked to have seen us start with 2 up top – I guess we are going to defend deep for 90 mins

I mean, yeah we won with that team, but why can’t we just try out something new

Because we’re safe, why can’t Moyes actually be adventurous and try something new, it could help his case to stay if he finds a better formula than what he’s using. We can’t push on with negative football
