'Might actually be a god' - West Ham fans rave over one man in win v Chelsea

West Ham fans have been left raving on social media over the performance of Arthur Masuaku in the club’s 1-0 win over Chelsea at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers took the lead against their London rivals through Marko Arnautovic, the Austrian netting with a drilled shot after some good work in the box, with what was his first goal for the club since signing from Stoke City over the summer.

It was a match in which many of the Hammers’ stars impressed up and down the pitch, frustrating Antonio Conte and his side, with full back Arthur Masuaku picking up many plaudits for his display on the left flank.

He demonstrated excellent close control with the ball when pushing forward, while he was also resolute at the back to help grind out a win over the reigning Premier League champions, which led to fans turning to Twitter to voice their delight.

Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:

Masuaku has been a regular for the Hammers in recent weeks, after sitting on the bench for several of the club’s opening fixtures, and has 11 league appearances from a possible 16, which have included starts in each of the last four games.
