West Ham fans react on Twitter to Cresswell display v Man City
By Dominic Toner
Aaron Cresswell played the full 90 minutes in West Ham’s heavy defeat to Manchester City – and the club’s supporters were highly critical of his performance on Twitter.
The 27-year-old was unable to prevent the Hammers being completely outclassed by Pep Guardiola’s relentless side.
The Hammers suffered a 4-0 home defeat and that followed up a 5-0 loss to the same opposition in the FA Cup in January.
Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Gabriel Jesus and Yaya Toure were on the scoresheet in the comprehensive victory.
West Ham fans highlighted the performance of defender Cresswell against Man City and feel he really struggled.

As much as I love him but Cresswell has turned into a bottler since his injury

Cresswell broke into the West Ham first-team when he moved to the club from Ipswich, but a serious knee injury last season ruled out him for an extended period.
The left-back has managed to get back into Bilic’s starting line-up this campaign, but has failed to reach the standards he set.
He managed to break into the England senior squad in November and made his sole appearance in a friendly against Spain, but may face a tough battle to get back into Gareth Southgate’s squad.
Cresswell will hope to retain his place ahead of alternative option Arthur Masuaku and manager Slaven Bilic could have a big decision to make ahead of their next game against Southampton.
