Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario has turned down a loan move to West Ham, according to a reliable journalist.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol claims that Inter Milan are happy to let the Portugal international go on loan after paying £40million for him in 2016, but it looks like it won’t be at the London Stadium.
Solhekol released the news on his personal Twitter account citing Sky Italy on Wednesday night.

The Telegraph reported earlier that West Ham were interested in the attacking midfielder, with Inter “keen” to loan him out.
It claimed that talks were ongoing but that Mario had a number of options to consider.
Mario has made 14 Serie A appearances this season but has struggled for a consistent run in the side and is frustrated at the situation.
Football Insider verdict:
This would have been a real coup for David Moyes but it would have been a shock if the European Champion winning player had decided a move to struggling West Ham would be good for his career. He would definitely be guaranteed game time at the London Stadium but it looks like he’s had a better offer. It’s a blow for West Ham and their fans but when you aim so high you’ve got to be prepared to be disappointed.
In other West Ham transfer news, the club have held talks over the signing of a international title holder from European giants.
