West Ham poised for Trevoh Chalobah swoop after terms agreed – sources

West Ham and multiple Premier League rivals could revive their interest in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah in the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (21 May) that the Blues will accept an appropriate offer for the 24-year-old despite his dramatic recent upturn in form.

Chalobah was a surprise package for Chelsea in the late stages of the 2023-24 campaign despite being seemingly surplus to requirements last summer (2023).

The centre-back recovered from a serious injury in pre-season to become one of the first names on Mauricio Pochettino’s team sheet in the last part of the season.

Nevertheless, they are open to selling the academy graduate as he will provide an injection of pure profit into their accounts for the 2023-24 campaign.

West Ham eye return for ‘surprise package’ Chalobah as Chelsea make decision

Football Insider revealed in January that West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Fulham were among the clubs eyeing a late-window move for the former England Under-21 international.

It is believed European sides are also keen on Chalobah and could provide a more enticing option in the upcoming summer window.

The defender, who played at centre-back and right-back under Pochettino, is under contract at Stamford Bridge runs for four more years after the Sierra Leone-born ace penned a new deal in 2022.

He made 17 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign, scoring once in 1227 minutes of action.
