Report: West Ham star faces exit as swap move with PL giants on the cards

There are concerns that West Ham United striker Andy Caroll could threaten to quit the club in order to push through a move to Chelsea this transfer window, according to a report.
The Telegraph makes the claim about the injury-prone powerhouse amidst speculation linking the forward with a surprise move to Stamford Bridge as Antonio Conte searches for a player who can hold the ball up in attack.
And they go on to suggest that the Michy Batshuayi could be used in a swap deal for Carroll until the end of the season.
The England international has struggled for game time under David Moyes but the Hammers do not want Carroll to leave – particularly on loan.
Football Insider verdict:
Although it is a shock that Chelsea are being linked with Carroll, he is exactly the sort of player the Blues need. Conte has Alvaro Morata in attack who frequently loses possession of the ball in duels with Premier League defenders and they are in dire need of someone who can hold the ball up. However, it would be a mistake for David Moyes to allow Carroll to leave the Hammers. Despite only making 12 league appearances for the east Londoners and scoring two goals in that time, the link-up play the forward provides between midfield and attack has been integral and they need to hold on to the Gateshead native if they are going to maintain their status in the English top flight.
