West Ham star is now better than Rashford and Sancho after 'big' reveal - pundit
Jarrod Bowen is in better form than Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford at West Ham but must keep it up if he wants a place in the next England squad.
That is the view of ex-Aston Villa and England attacker Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider as Bowen continued his run of goal involvements against Norwich City on Wednesday (11 January).
The 24-year-old scored both goals in the 2-0 win which takes his tally to seven goal involvements in the Hammers’ last six Premier League games.
He also scored in the 2-0 win over Leeds United on Sunday as David Moyes’ side progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
As quoted by the Independent on Wednesday (12 January), the Scot claimed Bowen is making a “big difference” and should be close to the England squad.
“When I played for England it was always chosen on form,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“At the moment, based on form, Rashford and Sancho shouldn’t be picked. If the squad was picked today they would miss out, on form.
“I’d have both Demarai Gray and Jarrod Bowen in ahead of them.
“He’s just got to keep it up until the next international break, he has to keep performing and if he can do that, he will get a call-up, definitely.”
Bowen now has 14 goals and 18 assists in 72 Premier League games for West Ham after moving from Hull City in January 2020.
He is under contract at the London Stadium until the summer of 2025.
