It ‘makes sense’ for Van De Beek to leave Man Utd after agent responds to ‘bad news’ – pundit
Noel Whelan has claimed it “makes sense” for Donny van de Beek to leave Man United amid fresh comments from his agent.
The former Leeds hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted as the player’s agent shared an update.
Speaking to Dutch outlet Ziggo Sport (via The Athletic) Van De Beek’s agent called Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford “bad news” for his client.

This is because the Portuguese star is being viewed as a central player and therefore another player in front of Van De Beek in the pecking order.
The midfielder signed for the club last summer but only made 19 appearances, with only four of them being starts.
Whelan insists the Red Devils will hand Van De Beek a chance this season as the club looks to be successful on all four fronts this season.
“You don’t mind it when it’s Lingard,” Whelan told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.
“He showed he can be an important player for Man United last night while playing for England.
“With Van De Beek, when you look at the amount of central midfield players they have at the club and the game time he’s had, it’s time to go and makes sense for him to leave.
“There are so many games in the Premier League season and Man United need a big squad with people who can come in.

“Those big players will need to rest. They are in a lot of competitions, look at Chelsea, look at Man City.
“It might have been a bad move for them to let him go. He’s still young and that chance could come.”
