Whelan shares bold Kane prediction after key Tottenham reveal from Nuno
Tottenham will not “disrespect” Harry Kane and will allow him to leave if a suitable bid arrives in this window.
That is the view of former Leeds and Middlesbrough striker Noel Whelan, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Nuno Espirito Santo’s recent comments about the 27-year-old’s future.
Kane has made clear his desire to leave Spurs this summer.
However, as quoted by Sky Sports (16th July), Nuno Espirito Santo says he has “no doubts” over the England captain’s commitment to the club.
Football Insider revealed on July 9th that Manchester United are currently in pole position to sign Kane just weeks after Man City had a £100million bid for the striker rejected by Spurs.
Whelan did concur with Espirito Santo that Kane would not kick up a fuss, or hand in a transfer request, if a move fails to materialise.

“Kane is a model professional and a player who others look up to,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“I do not think he would cause any fuss in the camp. He would do his best for Tottenham like he always has in his career. He would never disrespect the club or the game in that manner, I know that for sure.
“Respect works both ways though. I don’t think the club will disrespect him either and for that reason I think he will get his move.
“He has been a great servant for Spurs over the years and now he deserves to get a big move to a club where he can win trophies. Tottenham cannot deliver that right now so I think they will do the right thing by Kane.
“It has to be the right price for Spurs though. He is one of the top strikers in the world. His price tag is a hefty one. They’re not going to let him go on the cheap.”
