'Superb wee player', 'Overrated' - Celtic fans split as attacker confirms future plans

Celtic fans on social media seem split down the middle as Patrick Roberts has announced his intention to return to Manchester City and have a crack at the Premier League.

The 21-year-old is currently in his second loan spell with the Hoops, but it seems like the upcoming league match against Aberdeen will be his last as he has confirmed, as reported by Sky Sports, that he wants to play in the Premier League after the summer.

The player has been badly affected by a knee injury this season and has only started two games in the whole of 2018, and his second spell on loan with the Hoops has not been as successful as his first.

Fans seem split on how well the player has done with the Bhoys, with some sad to see him and go and other feeling that the Hoops can spend the money they are saving on Roberts on signing Odsonne Edouard on a permanent deal.

Hoops fans will be hoping that Roberts is able to finish his Hoops career in style and help lead the Bhoys to their second successive domestic treble, making history in the process.
