‘Finally some good business’ – Rangers fans react on Twitter as enforcer agrees deal

Rangers fans have taken to social media to react to the news that enforcer Ross McCrorie has signed a new four-and-a-half year contract with the Ibrox side.

The new contract was announced on the Gers’ official Twitter account on Friday.

McCrorie’s brother Robby, a goalkeeper for the Rangers youth team also signed a new contract but all the reaction was about Ross, with one supporter describing it as ‘superb news’.

Here are some of the best reactions to the new contract from Twitter:

McCrorie has been a huge success since making his debut as a substitute in the Betfred Cup against Partick Thistle earlier this season.

After a few games in central defence, the player has moved in a defensive midfield role where he has had his greatest success so far.

McCrorie will perhaps be a key player for the Gers in their next match, the Old Firm derby against Celtic at Celtic Park.

He previously played against Celtic in a central defensive role, it will be interesting to see how he fares against the likes of Scott Brown in the midfield battle.

The Gers go into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Motherwell, a victory which closed the gap on Celtic to 11 points.
