‘William Osula to start vs Liverpool’ after Newcastle injury twist – reaction

Newcastle United supporters want to see William Osula be given an opportunity to play on Wednesday (4 December) against Liverpool after new injury news.

There are doubts surrounding Alexander Isak’s availability for Newcastle’s upcoming Premier League fixture after the 25-year-old was forced off after 22 minutes against Crystal Palace on Saturday (30 November).

The Sweden international suffered a hip injury at Selhurst Park that could result in him being unavailable against the Reds.

During the pre-match press conference, Eddie Howe said, “Alex took a knock to his hip; we haven’t seen him in training yet, but we don’t think it is a long-term injury.”

Even though details are scarce about Isak’s situation, his lack of training could lead to him missing out against Arne Slot’s side which will force Howe to change his starting lineup.

Callum Wilson recently returned from his back injury for the Magpies, but the experienced forward has only played 37 minutes this season with Howe managing his minutes.

Newcastle United fans want William Osula to get an opportunity to play

Newcastle supporters have now urged the club to consider giving Osula the chance to showcase himself, despite his lack of minutes this season.

The 21-year-old has played four times in the Premier League for the Magpies, but those have been cameo appearances that have culminated in just 10 minutes of football.

The Denmark Under-21 international has played 117 minutes in the EFL Cup and has Premier League experience from his time at Sheffield United, but fans now want to see him get a chance in the English top flight.
