'Should never be on the park' - Rangers disgusted by 23-year-old display v Motherwell
By James Black
Rangers lost 2-0 to Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup semi-final on Sunday and fans on Twitter were disgusted with Josh Windass’ performance – or lack thereof – for the Gers.
Louis Moult’s double secured the win for the Steelmen and booked them a return to Hampden to face Celtic next month as a potential Old Firm clash was missed by the Light Blues.
Windass, 23, had three fantastic opportunities to score for the Gers but fired them all straight at Trevor Carson in the Motherwell goal as his side drew a blank.
Fans have been less than impressed with Windass since he joined the Ibrox giants from Accrington Stanley and his latest showing has done nothing to change their minds – with one claiming Rangers will “never win a trophy” with Windass in the starting XI.

Sadly Pedro has too many players that can't do it when it matters. Windass miss in the fist half easier to score but it's not training.

Personally yes. If those players play to the best then we win that at a canter today! Not his fault windass missed two easy chances

Windass and Pena were absolute passengers on that game. So hard to watch.

How does windass play every week? He goes missing for 60 mins.

Dorrans doesn't thrive next to Jack and vice versa, Pena just not good enough , Windass the same and should have made the difference today.

We will never win a trophy whilst Josh Windass plays in the starting 11

Bet Miller would score a few, Morelos was good but Pena is a passenger and windass should never be on the park.

The Gers now face Kilmarnock on Wednesday night in the Scottish Premiership as they try and close the gap to Celtic and Aberdeen at the top of the table as the leaders face each other in their next games.
Rangers fans will be praying that Windass isn’t involved in the starting XI.
The defeat to Motherwell means Pedro Caixinha’s side maintain their unwanted record of having failed to win three successive games since Caixinha was appointed at Ibrox in March.
