'Should never be on the park' - Rangers disgusted by 23-year-old display v Motherwell

By James Black

Rangers lost 2-0 to Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup semi-final on Sunday and fans on Twitter were disgusted with Josh Windass’ performance – or lack thereof – for the Gers.

Louis Moult’s double secured the win for the Steelmen and booked them a return to Hampden to face Celtic next month as a potential Old Firm clash was missed by the Light Blues.

Windass, 23, had three fantastic opportunities to score for the Gers but fired them all straight at Trevor Carson in the Motherwell goal as his side drew a blank.

Fans have been less than impressed with Windass since he joined the Ibrox giants from Accrington Stanley and his latest showing has done nothing to change their minds – with one claiming Rangers will “never win a trophy” with Windass in the starting XI.

The Gers now face Kilmarnock on Wednesday night in the Scottish Premiership as they try and close the gap to Celtic and Aberdeen at the top of the table as the leaders face each other in their next games.

Rangers fans will be praying that Windass isn’t involved in the starting XI.

The defeat to Motherwell means Pedro Caixinha’s side maintain their unwanted record of having failed to win three successive games since Caixinha was appointed at Ibrox in March.

In other Rangers news, Gers fans reacted on Twitter in hilarious fashion after Celtic lost to Bayern Munich.
