Tottenham star Harry Winks has said that his team mate and star striker Harry Kane absolutely loves the club and is set to stay to stay to guide the club to the silverware they desire.

The England striker has been in imperious form for the Lilywhites this season with 36 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions, which has led to talk of him leaving north London if a giant club such as Real Madrid came calling.

However Winks, who has come through the Tottenham youth ranks and has worked closely with Kane for both club and country, has given his inside verdict on the 24-year-old’s future, and it is one which fans will love.

Speaking on beIN Sports’ English coverage of the Premier League (15/04), as shown on their Twitter account, he said: “For me, what I gauge from talking to him and seeing him around the building every day, he loves the club.

“He’s passionate about succeeding and winning trophies with Tottenham, and as far as I can see he’s more than happy at Spurs – hopefully he can help lead us to glory.”

Kane’s current contract, which he put pen to paper on back in 2016, is set to run until the summer of 2022.

Hearing from the likes of Mauricio Pochettino speaking about his players’ futures can get repetitive and predictable, so to hear from a man who works alongside Kane day in, day out is a refreshing new perspective – even if he says exactly what Spurs fans want to hear. Winks will know exactly what Kane has got planned for the short-term future and it sounds as though he will be leading the line for Spurs next season. However, it seems as though he could plan to stick around longer than that in the hunt for silverware, and now all Pochettino and his men need to do is deliver to keep their star man happy.

In other news, one Spurs star has been tipped to join the record books alongside an Arsenal hero.
