Winner declared as Celtic battle top-flight side for PL 20-year-old - report

Aberdeen have beaten Celtic to the signing of Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, according to a report.
The Daily Record claim that Derek McInnes has come out on top as celtic frantically try to get a goalkeeper in after an injury to Craig Gordon.
He will sign for Aberdeen on loan for the rest of the season and will be announced before the transfer deadline tonight.
It is Aberdeen’s fourth signing of the window after McInnes also did deals for Niall McGinn, Chidi Nwakali and Mikey Devlin.
For Celtic, it means the search for a goalkeeper goes on with time running out for Brendan Rodgers.
The Daily Record claim that Rodgers could now increase his bid for Motherwell’s Trevor Carson.
Football Insider verdict:
Celtic aren’t used to losing but they’ve lost out here to one of their closest rivals in the Premiership. Woodman would have been perfect for Celtic with Craig Gordon out and would have solved a big problem. As it is he’ll be helping to stop Celtic scoring goals instead which makes this a double whammy. Rodgers will now have to looks elsewhere and hope he can persuade Motherwell to let him have Carson, or increase his bid.
