Wolves have tabled an offer for Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Moussa Sissako, according to a report.
Goal claims that Brighton are leading the chase for the 17-year-old defender, however he would like to join the revolution at Molineux after his representatives met Wolves officials in a recent meeting at the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground.
It is understood that Wanderers made an “intriguing proposition”to the French defender, who now has three options to consider with Brighton interested and French top-flight champions PSG in talks over extending his deal.
Football Insider verdict
It would be quite the statement if Wolves managed to snap up Sissako even though he is in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a new deal. It would seem odd that Brighton are currently in pole position to sign the teenager though as he has already been at Wolves’ training ground and is reportedly keen on the idea of moving to the West Midlands. Wolves would definitely be an exciting place to be right now, but Paris Saint-Germain are bound to win titles every season. Sissako would not be playing first team football for a couple of years, wherever he decided to play so for now, he is probably better off staying put. PSG have amazing facilities and while Wolves boast a good academy, there’s quite the gulf between them and the Ligue 1 champions. Who knows though, Sissako may be promised a spot in Nuno Espirito Santo’s first team and that could ultimately sway his decision.
