‘Wolves to accept £30m plus add-ons’ as David Moyes told to seal Everton deal by former ally

Everton have been told to sign wantaway Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen ahead of the January transfer window.

West Ham are targeting a move for Strand Larsen, who is the subject of interest from several clubs in Europe.

The striker is among several players attempting to get away from Molineux in January ahead of certain relegation to the Championship.

Strand Larsen had signed a new contract at Wolves in the summer, despite only arriving on an initial loan from Celta Vigo in 2024.

But Wolves fans have slammed Strand Larsen for his effort this season, with the relationship between the two appearing to be broken.

Thierno Barry has struggled since signing for Everton in the summer, with both him and Beto failing to provide an obvious answer going forward for David Moyes.

The striker did net his first goal for the Toffees against Nottingham Forest at the start of the month, but failed to impress in subsequent losses to Chelsea and Arsenal.

The problem persists for Moyes, who is now set to face a run of fixtures without joint-top scorer Iliman Ndiaye, who has travelled to the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Everton scout Bryan King suggested that a move for Strand Larsen could be the solution.

He’s certainly a player who would interest David Moyes,” King said. “He’s not Erling Haaland but he’s a direct and old fashioned centre-forward. Looking at Everton at times, that’s what they need.

They’ve got forward players who don’t seem to be gelling. He’s not sure about Barry and Beto right now. To liven up the squad, I don’t know if Strand Larsen is the answer, but he’d certainly bring a bit of aggression, because that what they seem to be lacking.

I would have thought £30m with add-ons if he performs would be enough to get him.

Strand Larsen certainly has the quality

There are not many players who would not have struggled when asked to lead the Wolves team this season.

More can be taken from the fact that Strand Larsen scored 14 goals in the Premier League last season, despite having been a part of a team that were not far from the drop.

The striker is a consistent goal-scorer, and could well be the perfect man for Everton.

With fantastic aerial ability, Strand Larsen would surely be licking his lips at the prospect of being on the end of Jack Grealish and Ndiaye’s deliveries.
