Wolves fell to a 2-1 defeat away at Premier League side Swansea in the third round of the FA Cup on Wednesday nights and supporters of the club were pick to point out their frail defence as the reason they lost.

Danny Batth got a few of the insults on social media, but it was Roderick Miranda who received the brunt of criticism from the Wolves faithful.

Jordan Ayew took the lead for the Welsh side early in the first half, but a goal from Diojo Jota levelled matters on the night, only for Wilfried Bony to once again put the Premier League side ahead.

Both matches were closely fought contests and a good chance to see how the Championship leaders would cope against higher ranked opponents.

Wolves will come away from the tie disappointed not to have progressed to the next round of the FA Cup, especially against a side struggling against relegation.

The result does mean that Nuno Espírito Santo’s side can now fully concentrate on matters in the Championship and look to cement their place as league champions as soon as possible.
