Wyness reveals unexpected Everton transfer news from his ‘trusted’ sources
Keith Wyness has tipped Everton star Amadou Onana to move to a ‘top six’ club this summer for a fee of £60million or more after what he has been told by “people I trust”.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Everton are “yet to see the best” of the 22-year-old.
Onana made the move to Goodison Park from Lille in the summer of 2022 for a £33million fee.
The Belgium international has gone on to make 63 appearances across all competitions for the Merseyside club and score four goals from his central midfield role.
He has been accused of erratic performances by Everton observers although, as revealed by Football Insider, that has not stopped interest from Newcastle United and Arsenal heading into the summer.
Everton star Onana tipped to leave this summer with £60m price tag
Somewhat surprisingly given this inconsistency, Wyness has tipped Onana to join a ‘top six’ side this summer with his trusted sources telling him the player is a “great talent” destined for big things.
“I think £60million is a fair valuation for Amadou Onana, if not a little bit higher,” Wyness told Football Insider.
“I think we’ve yet to see the best of him. I think he’s a very high-quality player.

“Belgium have seen him and recognise his talent and the people that I trust within football have told me that he is a really great talent with a great future.
“I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go to one of the top six clubs for around that valuation – if not more.“
