Yannick Bolasie reacts on Twitter to Everton victory v Manchester City

By Harvey Byrne

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie hailed his side’s victory against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

The Toffees took the lead after 34 minutes with Romelu Lukaku slotting home after Kevin Mirallas centred a ball into the box.

This looked to inspire a second half rout for the club with goals from Mirallas, Tom Davies and Ademola Lookman completing a 4-0 scoreline.

Bolasie, 25, is currently out injured after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in December against Manchester United.

But, still keeping an eye on his teammates, the DR Congo international shared on his personal Twitter account that he was impressed with his sides win in a string of Tweets, also hailing his teammates.

The victory on Sunday has seen Everton settle in seventh place, producing a four point gap between themselves and eighth placed West Brom.

They are now six points behind Manchester United in sixth, but the Red Devils have a clash against fierce rivals Liverpool later on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Bolasie is expected to miss the rest of the campaign after joining in a £25million deal in the summer.

The player featured in 15 encounters before his injury, completing an impressive attack and he will now be keen to get back into the successful side as soon as possible.
