'Class', 'Back on form' - Rangers fans rave about one player after St Johnstone loss

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to rave about Alfredo Morelos after he opened the scoring against St Johnstone at Ibrox after only five minutes of the game.

The goal was a rare highlight for Rangers fans as St Johnstone won 3-1 at Ibrox.

The Colombian took a pass from the returning Ryan Jack and rifled the ball into the net for his 11th goal of the season, and is now the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership.

The 21-year-old joined Rangers in the summer – being signed by former manager Pedro Caixinha – from Independiente Medellin in the summer for a fee of around £1 million.

After a good start to the season, the player went through a lean spell, but it is now back in good form.

Here are a few of the reactions on Twitter to the player:

As for the game itself, a Blair Alston goal levelled the game for St Johnstone after 10 minutes.

The first-half petered out with no real chances for either side, as both teams struggled to create anything of note.

The second-half continued in a similar vein, until Denny Johnstone gave the Perth side the lead just after the hour mark.

St Johnstone killed the game off with a third goal in the 71st minute by Graham Cummins.
