Hayes reacts to speculation he could make stunning Celtic exit weeks after joining

Celtic summer signing Jonny Hayes has revealed that he knows nothing about the reports linking him with a move away from the SPL champions.
This follow up from the story in news outlet TeamTalk which reported that English Championship side Cardiff City are trying to sign the 30-year-old on a loan deal this summer.
It would be a surprising transfer given that the forward only completed a move to Celtic Park from fellow SPL side Aberdeen earlier this summer for a reported fee of £1million.
As quoted in Wales Online, Hayes confirmed that he is completely unaware of any potential deal and admitted that he did not how the story had surfaced.
“To be honest with you, you just see these sort of things on social media crop up now and again, but nothing that I know of, anyway,” he said.

“It was actually one of my pals sent me a screenshot of something or other and he said, ‘Any truth in that?’.
“As far as I’m aware there’s none, anyway, so I’m not exactly sure where it came from.”
Hayes has not enjoyed a great start to life in Glasgow as he has only managed to complete the full 90 minutes once which came in the League Cup triumph against Kilmarnock at the start of the season.
The summer signing has also failed to find himself on the scoresheet for his new club although he has managed to provide one assist in eight appearances.
Although he has not hit the heights for Celtic, he was still selected for the Republic of Ireland national team to face Georgia and Serbia in the World Cup qualifiers this week.
