Heckingbottom puts one Leeds first-team star out of his misery after epic Radz rant - report
After Andrea Radrizzani embarked on an epic rant against players that he wanted were on a shot fuse, the Leeds dressing room is probably a fairly muted place at the moment.
Talking on talkSPORT, Radrizzani told his players in no uncertain terms that if they didn’t start delivering what he expected, they would be moved on.
“As a club we support them with everything,” Radrizzani said. “We did everything they wanted but we didn’t get back the commitment, the passion and the spirit. I don’t want players in my team with this behaviour. I hope they can learn.”
However, it appears one first-team star has been impressing.
Attacker Pablo Hernandez’ contract is coming to an end in the summer and the player had made it clear that he wanted to stay.
And, in a sign that he could be rewarded with fresh terms, The Daily Mail has reported that the club has opened talks with the player.

They claim that club officials are confident of getting him to sign extended terms and that manager Paul Heckingbottom views him as part of his long-term plans.
Football Insider verdict:
That’s a huge message to Hernandez, that basically says ‘you’re not part of the group that Radrizzani was talking about’. It will come as a relief to Hernandez and to Leeds fans who will be pleased to hear that the club has opened contract talks with the player. And it will hopefully give the dressing room a life – god knows it needs it at the present time.
