Agbonlahor: Tottenham handed 'massive' boost by Son reveal
Tottenham have been handed a “massive” boost as Heung-min Son is set to sign a new contract.
That is the view of ex-Aston Villa and England forward Gabby Agbonlahor, speaking exclusively to Football Insider as the attacker is set to commit his future to Spurs.
Football Insider learned on 17 July that Son has agreed a blockbuster new deal with the north London outfit.
This site broke the news on 2 July that the South Korea captain had told new manager Nuno Espirito Santo he is looking forward to playing for him next term.
The 29-year-old is now set to put pen to paper on a new deal worth £200,000-a-week.
His current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2023.

Football Insider revealed in March that Bayern Munich had set their sights on signing Son amid uncertainty over his Spurs future.
Asked what it meant for Tottenham that Son is set to sign a new deal, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “It’s massive.
“Son’s probably looking at it like Spurs have been good to him and he’s probably played his best football at Spurs.
“He might see himself, if Harry Kane does go, then he will become the main man. It works for him.
“Spurs fans love him and he plays good football there. It makes sense for Son to sign a new deal, definitely.”
Son has scored 107 times and provided 64 assists in 280 games across all competitions for Spurs.
Last season, he found the net on 17 occasions and provided 10 assists in 37 Premier League appearances.
In other news, Tottenham are in advanced talks to sign four senior stars.
