Agbonlahor verdict on Tottenham dressing room unrest after Kane reveal

Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted there will be no tension in the Tottenham dressing room despite Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele both wanting to leave over the summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Kane will have apologised to his teammates and a line will have been drawn under it.

Football Insider broke the news on 9 April the England captain wanted to quit his boyhood club this summer amid interest from Man City.

As quoted by talkSPORT on 31 August, Kane insisted his conscience was clear over his actions this summer.

This site also revealed on 19 August that Ndombele also wanted to quit Tottenham before the end of the transfer window.

He has not featured under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo but did not manage to secure a move away before deadline day.

Asked whether that could have a negative impact on the dressing room, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I think it will be fine. That will all be sorted now.

“The players will be excited about trying to stay top of the league, they’ve got winnable games coming up. It will all be fine now, it will all be sorted.

“Harry Kane probably apologised to the team and they can all move forward.”

As well as the two wantaway stars, Nuno may have an issue with both Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso when they return from international duty.

Sky Sports reported today (7 August) Spurs plan to fine the pair for going against the club’s wishes and joining up with Argentina for their World Cup qualifying matches.

In other news, there could be a legal backlash as Daniel Levy’s Spurs plan is revealed.
