Toby Alderwerield has sent a Twitter message to fans ahead of Tuesday night’s Premier League clash against Brighton.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has already promised that Alderweireld will be in the squad to face Brighton, saying “Toby’s in the squad”, but has said that he will decide if he plays or not on Tuesday.
And Alderwiereld has dropped a big hint that he will be involved in the action, even if it’s from the bench, as his tweet shows him in matchday kit saying “Matchday!”
He posted the tweet on Tuesday afternoon, ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off.

Football Insider verdict:
Lots of people have been saying that Alderweireld had played his last game for Spurs, with contract wrangling ongoing and rumours that he is set to be sold in the summer. However, Pochettino needs to save his players for the FA Cup semi-final and it could be the perfect opportunity for Alderweireld to get some game-time. Sending a shot of him in the away kit is a big hint that he is going to get on the pitch. It might be that it’s his last game and if so it will give him the chance to say goodbye to fans who love him. Either way, Tottenham fans will love to see him in action tonight and will be awaiting the team news with anticipation.
