‘Show the team how to fight’ – Alioski rips into his Leeds teammates mercilessly

Ezgjan Alioski has jokingly revealed that he would make Pontus Jansson his bodyguard rather than his assistant manager if he was in charge of Leeds United.

In an interview with the club’s official website, the midfielder revealed that he’d need more than one assistant before allocating each of his choices with personal roles.

“I’d need more than one, I’d bring in Gaetano Berardi, Pontus Jansson, Samuel Saiz and Caleb Ekuban,” said Alioski.

“I need them for different positions, Berardi can show the team how to fight and Pontus would be my bodyguard.”

Alioski has made 23 appearances across all competitions for Leeds United this season, and has scored five goals in the league.

The midfielder has only missed two of the Whites’ league games this season, as he didn’t feature against Burton Albion and Reading.

Leeds United currently sit one point off the play-off places in seventh, ahead of playing Hull City on Saturday.

If they beat Hull, the Whites will move into the play-off positions, as the two teams, Aston Villa and Sheffield United, who they can overtake play each other.

The last meeting between Leeds and Hull Cuty ended as a 2-2 draw in 2016, with the Whites being the last side to achieve victory in the tie as they won 2-1 at Elland Road in 2015.

Hull City go into the clash against Leeds United, sat 19th in the table, having lost their last game 1-0 to Cardiff.
