Sky Sports’ Scottish football pundit Andy Walker has offered his prediction for the upcoming Hamilton versus Rangers clash at New Douglas Park on Sunday afternoon.
Writing in his column on the Sky Sports website, the former Celtic striker is tipping a win for the Gers.
He believes that the Light Blues will triumph 3-1, and his pick as the key player of the game is Alfred Morelos who he claims that “Rangers are currently in discussions to sign him on better terms.”
The Colombian is currently the top scorer in Scotland, and took his tally of goals for the season to 15 thanks to a double in the recent 6-1 Scottish Cup victory over Ayr.
The Gers will be looking to win at New Douglas Park to keep the pressure on Aberdeen in the battle for second place in the Scottish Premiership, a battle that the Pittodrie side are currently leading by three points.
The upcoming match between the Light Blues and Hamilton is the third of the season so far between the clubs, with each side having one victory in the previous two matches.
The Gers won 4-1 at Hamilton in September, with Declan John the hero with two goals. Hamilton pulled off a shock 2-0 victory when the teams faced off at Ibrox in November.
In other Rangers news, Graeme Murty has confirmed that Jordan Rossiter has picked up another injury
