Antonee Robinson took to social media to send a message to Fulham fans after their shock win over Nottingham Forest.

The 27-year-old has been filling in as Fulham captain for the past two months, replacing Tom Cairney, as his side climbed up to eighth with an unexpected 2-1 Premier League win over high-flying Nottingham Forest on Saturday (February 15).

Former Arsenal ace Emile Smith-Rowe opened the scoring after just 15 minutes before in-form forward Chris Wood restored parity just before half-time.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former PGMOL chief, and ex-FIFA official Keith Hackett believes the Forest goal scored by Wood was rightfully given despite an apparent foul in the build-up involving Robinson.

Marco Silva’s side are now just five points off the Champions League spots, with ten wins, nine draws, six defeats, and 39 points from their 25 games.

The left-back has been in the form of his life this season, starting all 25 of his games across all competitions, scoring zero goals, and providing ten assists in his 2250 minutes of action.

Football Insider revealed ahead of the January transfer window that his fine form has attracted the interest of league leaders Liverpool.

Robinson took to Instagram after the win over Forest to celebrate, saying: “Back to winning ways at home. Let’s keep this confidence going into the weekend.”

Fulham will be without winger Reiss Nelson for the foreseeable future after he underwent surgery on a hamstring injury that kept him on the sidelines for the past two months.

Silva’s side will travel to South London to face Crystal Palace on Saturday (February 22) as they seek to gain further ground on the European spots.
