Antonio Conte set for Tottenham bust-up after Richarlison update - pundit

Richarlison could “frustrate” Antonio Conte if he signs for Tottenham, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Richarlison has “nicked” moves and not worth a big transfer fee.

The Athletic reported on Saturday (11 June) that Spurs are interested in signing the 25-year-old but will only make a move if he is available at the right price.

It is claimed that Everton will command a fee of at least £51million for the Brazil international as they look set to make significant sales this summer.

A recruitment source told Football Insider earlier this year (17 April) that Richarlison, who has two years left to run on his contract, has told his representatives he wants to find a new club in the summer window.

“Richarlison, I’m not too sure about,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“He lies on the floor too much for me. He could frustrate Conte.

“I’m not sure he’s worth that money. I feel he’s nicked a lot of moves for how good he actually is.

“He’s had some big transfers and I don’t rate him, to be honest.

“I would take Gabriel Jesus all day, every day of the week over Richarlison.

“It’s a strange one from Conte.”

Richarlison scored 10 goals in 30 Premier League games in the 2021-22 season as Everton finished 16th and narrowly avoided relegation by just four points.

He has scored 48 times in 173 top-flight games in his time at Everton and Watford.
