Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter after Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick scored a goal that has been likened to Dennis Bergkamp’s famous strike against Newcastle.

The 21-year-old scored Sampdoria’s only goal of the game against Crotone, as his side suffered a 2-1 loss at home to the Serie A minnows.

Sampdoria’s English Twitter account posted a video of the goal, writing “Dennis Bergkamp who?” as he flicked the ball over a defender before finishing to score his 12th goal of the season.

The Czech Republic star’s goal is similar to Arsenal legend Bergkamp’s strike against Newcastle back in March 2002, as he also pirouetted after directing his first touch past a defender.

This comes after the Daily Mail claimed Arsenal and Tottenham had scheduled talks with the young striker’s representatives in London last month.
