‘Arsenal will win the Premier League this season’ after Declan Rice reveal
Arsenal fans are confident they will win a major trophy this season after Declan Rice’s upbeat message to the supporters about the rest of this campaign.
The Gunners currently sit second in the Premier League table, and they are six points adrift of current leaders Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta’s team also remain in the Champions League and have the opportunity to continue competing in Europe this season.
However, the Premier League giants have been knocked out of both domestic cup competitions this season.
The Gunners were beaten 4-0 on aggregate in the EFL Cup semi-final by Newcastle, while they were defeated by Man United in the FA Cup via a penalty shootout.
Arsenal will be back in action on Saturday (15 February) against Leicester City as they continue to try and close the gap on Liverpool.
Declan Rice remains confident for this season
Rice has been a key member of Arsenal’s squad this season, scoring three goals and providing seven assists in 33 games throughout the campaign and he spoke to Sky Sports about their title hopes this season.
Rice said, “There’s a really long way to go, we know what we want to achieve. Look, the manager said in the press conference the other week, no matter what we can only worry about ourselves, and at the end of the season we will be there.
“We can only keep believing in what we believe in and keep working on what we are working on and have full trust in the manager and our players and everyone around us that we can achieve great things, it’s just down to us to get that over the line.
“That’s the next step, so big things coming up but we just need to stay positive and keep going.”
