Celtic’s assistant manager Chris Davies has revealed that the Hoops are still working on a number of signings and “one or two” more players could be moving to the club before the transfer window shuts.
Celtic have made a number of signings this summer with Olivier Ntcham, Kundai Benyu and Jonny Hayes earlier in the transfer window, and most recently Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts on loan.
Brendan Rodgers’ second in command claims that while nothing is set in stone, a few more arrivals could be making their way to the club before the window closes.
“It’s quite late on the window but we are still working away on one or two possibilities but there is nothing definitive in terms of the number of players,” Davies explained, as quoted by Celtic’s official website.
“The club are still working hard to see if there is anything more we can do and if there is something right for us, it will be done.”
A number of players have been rumoured to join the Scottish treble winners on Thursday, and one of those is Paris Saint-Germain forward Odsonne Eduoard.
A report in the Daily Mail stated that the French Guianan was undergoing a medical with the club and his arrival looked even more imminent after the 19-year-old posted a strong hint on social media which suggested a move to Celtic.
In addition to the teenager, the Bhoys have reportedly also invested their interest in Bristol City defender Aden Flint according to the Football Daily, who claims that the Invincibles entered the late race to sign the Championship star.
In other Celtic transfer news, a Premier League midfielder is jetting out for a medical after the Hoops opened talks.
