'Mkhitaryan deal hijacked?' - Aston Villa fans in meltdown as Tony Xia drops transfer hint

Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter after club owner Tony Xia dropped his trademark hint that a transfer was nearing competition.
Since taking over at Villa, Xia has regularly kept fans up to date on Twitter and has also become known for his use of emojis to signal how far a long the line a deal is to being done.
On Sunday, the Chinese business posted on his personal Twitter account an image of two hands shaking next to the number 24.

Xia’s transfer hint has sent the Villa fans into meltdown with them drawing up conclusions on who might be on their way to Villa Park next.
One supporter even jokingly questioned whether the deal to sign Henrik Mkhitaryan from Manchester United has been hijacked with the Armenia international widely reported to be on his way to Arsenal in a swap deal for Alexis Sanchez.
Here is a selection of their tweets:

Aston Villa are yet to sign anyone in the current transfer window although they have been linked to a number of players.
The Mirror has previously reported that the West Midlands club had made enquiries about Leicester pair Leonardo Ulloa and Daniel Amartey and Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe.
In other Aston Villa news, Villa have rejected multiple bids for this £500,000-a-game player.
